Lions Basketball

The Lions basketball program was started in 2011 for the purpose of giving homeschool students the opportunity to play competitive basketball. The program has steadily grown over the years and been blessed to achieve a great deal of on-the-court success. In the 2018/19 season the boys varsity team won the National Association of Christian Athletics (NACA) Division 6 National Championship. In the 2019/20 season, the Lions boys varsity team won the Mid-South Homeschool Athletic Conference (MHAC) championship and repeated as NACA Division 6 National champions … not an easy accomplishment. And most recently in the 2022-2023 season, the boys varsity team took 2nd place in the NACA Division 8 National Championship. But, the program is not just about on court success, it also strives to help parents grow their students into responsible adults with excellent character. The program does this by making sure the players work hard at practice, compete with good sportsmanship, and are confronted with the reality of God. The program believes that whatever is done should be done to the glory of God exclusively.

Lions Volleyball

The LCA Lions Volleyball program began in 2023 and has grown to include both JV and Varsity teams.
Our Mission: The LCA Lions Volleyball Program provides girls with the opportunity to learn and play volleyball competitively within a Christ-centered environment that emphasizes growth, discipline, and character. Our goal is to come alongside parents in shaping young athletes into individuals who reflect excellence, sportsmanship, and integrity on and off the court. At LCA Volleyball, players are encouraged to work hard in practice, compete with humility and good sportsmanship, and continually recognize God’s presence and sovereignty in every area of life. We believe that all things, including athletics, should be done for one purpose alone: to glorify God.
Eligibility: Homeschooled girls in grades 7-12.
Practice Schedule: Practices begin in May and run through September – 2-3 times a week.
Game Schedule: Games/Tournaments run through August & September, ending just before Fall Break.

Lions Soccer

Lady Lions and Lady Knights soccer are merging! Founded in 2014, our Christian homeschool team has experienced continuous growth and success. We’ve proudly won several National Homeschool Division I & II championships and have seen many of our high school and middle school players advance to college-level soccer, representing the Huntsville Lady Knights with pride and now combining with Life Christian Academy.
Our Mission
We are dedicated to creating an environment where young athletes can learn and excel in soccer. We focus on skill development, teamwork, and enjoyment of the game, providing opportunities for players aged 11-19 to engage in competitive, growth-oriented soccer within a supportive, family-friendly setting in a Christian atmosphere.
Our Vision
Our aim is to nurture youth soccer players of all skill levels, fostering a passion for the game. We strive to cultivate a competitive spirit, a drive for excellence, and a willingness to learn from mistakes, all within a positive and encouraging atmosphere that honors Christ.
